During June and July, ASL offers men’s Over-30 soccer on Friday nights at 6:15 .m. on city and middle school fields. We will NOT be playing at Bullhead this summer.
This is pretty simple. You need to register your players on an existing ASL team. For example, Rogues will likely have a team and transfer players from other teams. Players on Rogues and the existing ASL teams are, for purposes of this item, current ASL players and they pay $35.
If you wish to start a new team under a new name, that’s fine, but it costs an extra $95 team fee and $40 per player, except for the $55 player described later.
Players who have registered to play in ASL since September 2007 (yes, that includes the over 40 because it’s after September 2007) pay a fee of $35 per player. That someone played last summer doesn’t not make them a current player. All registration expires on August 31 annually. A current player should have a passcard for their men’s or coed team. LigaLatino cards do not count.
A person who has not played in fall 2007 or spring 2008 or has not registered to play summer 2008 soccer in another competition (men, coed) must pay a $55 fee. The price difference is made up if your insurance premium ($10), your NMSSA player fee ($4), your USSF player fee ($2) and your USASA player fee ($4). That’s why it’s more economically efficient to play year round than for a mere 8 weeks in the summer.
In order to register a team and be put in the schedule, you need to complete the team registration form and the Over-30 registration roster on the left side of this page and return them to the office with player fees by May 19. Yes, we realize that is an incredibly unreasonable rush. However, we really need to know how many teams we have in order to get enough fields, field paint, and referees.
We play under standard ASL disciplinary rules regarding player misbehavior. You can find those in the current ASL Rules in the Useful Docments folder on the front page.
