Albuquerque Soccer League is the men’s and coed soccer league for the Albuquerque metropolitan area and have teams registered from as far north as Las Vegas and as far south as Socorro. Albuquerque Women’s Soccer League overs the same area for women’s soccer.
We’re affiliated with the New Mexico State Soccer Association, United States Adult Soccer Association and United States Soccer Federation.
We play a fall and spring competition with 5 men’s divisions, 3 coed divisions, and 5 women’s division. All of our fall and spring games are on Sundays because our youth counterparts play on Saturdays. Our fall season runs 9 games and starts the Sunday after Labor Day. We participate in the NMSSA Fall Classic Soccer tournament in November. Our spring season starts the first Sunday of March and we have the Chile Cup the first weekend of May. We don’t play on Easter Sunday.
In the fall and spring, we play at Arroyo del Oso and St. Pius fields in Albuquerque and at the Farmer’s Insurance Complex in Santa Ana, northwest of Bernalillo. Yes, it’s a long drive unless you live in Rio Rancho.
For summer play, we offer a weeknight coed league Monday through Thursday on city and school fields. Monday and Tuesday are rec level, Wednesday and Thursday are competitive play. On Thursday, we offer women’s Over-30 soccer. On Friday, we offer a men’s over-30 league and on Sundays we play minifut. Summer games are at Bullhead Park and various middle school fields. We just finished our first men’s over-40 league during April to September at the Farmers Insurance Complex in Santa Ana, since it’s the only field location with lights. We’re adding 6 lighted fields at the Farmer’s complex and will expand the Over-40 offering next spring to include a women’s division as well. We don’t play Over-40 in the fall because the high school schedule absorbs all the lighted fields so far. With our expanded lighting setup, we may be able to use some fields in the fall season starting in fall 2009.
Our office is open almost year round, with the exception of the week of Thanksgiving and the two weeks around Christmas. You can register at any time and play as soon as registration is done.
