OK, just to save you some time before you e-mail us about the standings and game scores.
We ask the teams to submit their game scores each week. You can tell from the standings file which teams actually do that. Those are the teams who, for example, have 12 game results listed after 12 games. Other teams do not respond at all. We assume they don’t care about their position and apparently their players don’t either. We send out an e-mail every Sunday reminding the team reps to submit their scores. Most do, some don’t respond under any circumstances. If your team’s results aren’t listed, we’ll be happy to add you to the weekly distribution so you can do your team rep’s job and report the scores for your team.
You may also find the scores listed are incorrect. We print what we received. In some cases, we’ll get two different scores for the same game. On rare occasion, we get two completely different results. We list the first score we receive and then we true them up when we get the referee reports and those results are official. It takes us 10-14 days to receive the referee reports because they go through the referee paymaster first before they come to us.
Here's what the headings mean.
W is wins
L is losses
T is ties
GF is goals for - that's goals your team scored. You want that to be a big number.
GA is goals against - that's goals your team gave up. You want that to be a small number.
GD is goal differential - that's GF - GA. You want that to be a big number.
GAA is goals against average. That's the number of goals against divided by the number of games. You want that to be a small number.
In your division, each team is listed and every game you get a 1 in either the win column, the loss column or the tie column and we list your goals for and your goals against. Each column is totaled for your team and that's what feeds into the table at the top of your division.
