Albuquerque Soccer League brings people together through adult men’s, women’s, and coed soccer in the Albuquerque area. Whether you are returning to the sport or looking for a new team, we can help you find your place on the field.
Founded in 1977, ASL has been part of New Mexico’s soccer community for nearly five decades. Generations of players have built friendships, formed teams, and kept playing long after their school soccer days ended.
Our history lives in our players. In the Albuquerque Journal’s 2025 feature, Jim Abram recalled joining ASL in 1978. At 71, he was still playing for the Rogues and refereeing league games.
ASL includes beginners, experienced competitors, former college players, and players in their 70s. Some come for a challenging match; others come for exercise, friendships, and time with family. Many come for all three.
The Journal highlighted Oldies but Goodies, an all-women’s team competing in the coed division, and Frio FC, where relatives share the field across generations. These stories reflect the variety of people who make ASL special.
